Risk Management

With its broad risk management inatec protects your company against non-payment and provides you with the basis for growth.

Online payments require a careful control of your costumers ability to pay.

inatec´s security concept, combining efficient protection tools that are permanently adapted and extended, helps you recognize potential risks as soon as payment is submitted, and to minimize them at an early stage. This use of technologies for fraud prevention and authentication guarantees efficient protection against non-payment.

MTI 2.0
inatec uses protection tools beyond the capacity of machines. Problems occurring in the transaction process might be caused by an attempt to defraud. Our administrators manually check each conspicuous transaction and accept or deny it accordingly.

Address Validation
To prevent any kind of fraud inatec checks whether your customers addresses are existing in reality. inatec offers the Adress Validation for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

IP & BIN - Check / IP-Geolocation
inatec uses IP and BIN controls to ensure that the accounting occurs exactly there where the costumer is located according to the address data.
The first six digits of a credit or debit card are the Bank Identification Number (BIN). The BIN identifies the bank that issued the card. With the BIN it is possible to check whether the card owner and the bank that issued the card belong to the same country. Otherwise, an attempt to defraud cannot be excluded. The IP address of an internet user gives information about the country, city or even small town where the user is located. The IP check - also called geolocation - is used to detect regional discrepancies within online payments.

Black and white lists
inatec compares the costumer´s data with the transaction history in the database. Depending on that information the payment process might be denied to costumers with a bad transaction history. Such lists can be developed individually for your costumers.

Authorization
The authorization of a credit card comprises the process which approves the use of the credit card for certain transactions or for cash withdrawals at a cash machine.  For that the data of the credit card is forwarded, after being identified at the terminal, to the data processing centre of the credit card company which controls the data and the account. This leads to an acceptance or a denial of the demanded transaction or cash withdrawal. In case of acceptance, the customer can undertake the required transaction. Otherwise, she or he will be asked to re-enter the data or the credit card.

Verified by Visa & MasterCard SecureCode
inatec supports the security standard of the leading credit card providers Visa and Mastercard. To prevent credit card misuse the user has to identify himself in the process of payment as the authorized credit card owner by entering a personal code into an additional field. The code is only known to the user and the corresponding bank.

Credit worthiness and scoring
inatec has access to the database of the leading address data and scoring providers in order to control the payment data and the identification of the costumer. The combination of various risk management tools enables us to define a scoring process that is individually tailored to your company.

Card verification code (CVC)
On the back of the credit card a three digits verification code is printed next to the card number. inatec makes use of security tools such as the verification code control or the CVC2 check in order to guarantee that the costumer actually is in hand of the credit card and is not misusing old card documents.

Account number and bank number check
The main reasons for problems occurring with direct debit are costumers errors when entering the account data. inatec checks if the entered bank number exists and whether the given account number corresponds to that bank. This process for direct debit prevents typing errors and avoids return debit notes.
